In the Macieverse, every story begins with a seed.
Some grow into gardens.
Some grow into acts of kindness.
And some… travel beyond Earth.
As part of this giveaway, you’ll receive a truly unique piece of space and science history.
These Rutgers tomato seeds trace back to the historic NASA SEEDS experiment, when more than 12.5 million seeds from Geo. W. Park Seed Company were sent into space aboard the Long Duration Exposure Facility (LDEF) in 1984.
Orbiting Earth for nearly six years before returning home on the Space Shuttle Columbia, these seeds became part of one of the largest student-led science experiments in U.S. history—helping researchers and classrooms explore how space travel affects living organisms.
Today, they represent a powerful connection between science, education, and exploration.
To celebrate the launch of Macie and the Magic Rocket Seeds, we’re bringing that spirit to life through a “Rocket Seeds” planting experiment with the real Farmer Lundyn—inspired by the original NASA project and aligned with efforts to support Access to Fresh.
This isn’t just a prize—it’s a chance to continue the journey of discovery.
