Oh, Hi! It’s me, Macie. I gotta tell you something super cool before Grandpa wakes up!
Grandpa told me stories like he always does at bedtime, and tonight they were all about carrots. Then, guess what? He fell asleep!
All of a sudden, I saw this computer. I think it belongs to The Storyteller, who helps us share our adventures with the world. I’m still not sure how The Storyteller knows so much about our family. I’ll have to ask Mom and Grandpa.
Anyway, I thought, why not try to tell a story too? Grandpa told me this funny thing about how people thought eating lots of carrots could make you see super good in the dark, like a superhero! But shhh, it was actually a secret trick during a big war to hide a special gadget from the bad guys.
And there’s more! There was this really old movie with a man named Clark Gable who loved eating carrots. Then Bugs Bunny ate carrots and said, “What’s up, Doc?” just like the man did in the movie! But Grandpa whispered to me that real bunnies actually don’t eat that many carrots. They’re more like treats!
Do you have any silly stories about veggies? I’d love to hear them!
I know I should be in bed, but I’m getting hungry. Maybe I’ll eat a carrot. You should eat one, too, and we can be the first ones to celebrate International Carrot Day!
And guess what else? When we wake up tomorrow, you’ll see one bunny who really loves carrots, right there on my book cover!
Uh oh, I hear Grandpa calling me.
Better go!
Big Veggie Hugs,
Macie
