🔎 Grandpa’s Wisdom Wednesday…Get a Clue! 🕵️♂️
“Hey Little One, life leaves clues. If something worked before, it just might work again.”
Today, Grandpa’s advice to Macie is simple: The answers to your challenges might be right in front of you—you just have to take a moment to see them.
The other day, I found myself watching Blue’s Clues (as one does when little ones are around). It’s part of our regular rotation—right up there with Ms. Rachel (especially now that she’s on Netflix 📺).
So there I am, sitting in our thinking chair, notebook and crayon in hand, watching Steve miss the clues that the audience sees right away.
[I’m really thinking, C’mon, Steve, they’re right there!—but then I remember…the show isn’t really for me, it’s for the kids. 😂]
And that got me thinking…how often do I assume that every new challenge needs a brand-new solution?
But when I stop and take Steve’s advice—think… think… think 🤔—I realize that a lot of problems aren’t as new as they seem.
Patterns repeat, and so do solutions. Looking back at what’s worked before has saved me more than a few headaches!
Of course, not every challenge has a repeat solution, but starting with what’s worked before is often a smart first step.
Life leaves clues—you just have to notice them. 👀
Have you ever solved a problem by looking at what worked before?
I’d love to hear your story! 🚀
