No need to wait any longer…It’s Time for Grandpa’s Wisdom Wednesday 🌱

Today, Grandpa leaned in close to Macie for one of their little heart-to-hearts.

He smiled and said:

“Hey Little One, waiting can feel really hard… but guess what?

When you help others, play, or learn while you wait,

even the hardest part gets a little easier.”

It reminded me of something Tom Petty once sang:

“The waiting is the hardest part.”

He was right.

And so is Grandpa.

Whether you’re…

→ Waiting to hear back after a final interview

→ Wondering if that grant will come through

→ Hoping a book partnership blossoms

→ Praying something you planted will finally grow

→ Or holding your breath, hoping your dream project gets the green light…

The in-between can feel like forever.

But here’s what Grandpa reminded Macie—and what I needed to hear too:

Waiting well is different from waiting idle.

Even if the outcome is uncertain, your growth doesn’t have to be.

So while you wait:

Nurture what you’ve already planted.

Feed your mind with something new.

Be there for someone else.

Because when the moment finally comes—when the call rings, the door opens, or the first sprout breaks through—you won’t just be ready…

You’ll be stronger.
