Learn to Ride with Grandpa

Hello everyone,

While riding my bike during a workout, I saw another rider approaching in the distance. The path was quite narrow, so I had two choices: stop and let the rider pass or keep riding. Despite not wanting to play a game of chicken, I decided to continue riding.

With my focus on what was ahead, I barely even noticed the other rider. In fact, I even sped up a little as we got closer to give me a little more control 😉 They must have done the same because we both passed with ease.

This experience reminds me of the importance of focusing on our goals and not getting distracted by obstacles or others, especially those headed in the opposite direction.

Said another way…by my favorite Grandpa…

“Hey Little One,

To learn to ride your bike,

Don’t look down at your feet.

Keep your eyes focused up,

Toward the place you want to be!”
