One of the best feelings as a storyteller? Seeing Macie and the Magic Veggies land in the hands of a young reader and their family—whether through an Amazon purchase, a library checkout, or a Little Free Library discovery. 📚✨
That’s why I love donating books to local libraries and neighborhood Little Free Libraries. It’s a simple yet powerful way for authors to give back to their communities and ensure that every child—regardless of their family’s financial situation—has access to stories that spark curiosity, learning, and joy. 💚
But we’re taking this idea even further. At Access to Fresh, we’re not just connecting food deserts to fresh produce through the Bounty Bus Program—we’re also tackling book deserts by supporting food literacy! 🫐 🥕 📖
Because knowledge is just as essential as nutrition when building a healthier future for our communities.
If you’re an author (or a book lover) looking for a meaningful way to make an impact, consider donating a copy of your favorite book to a Little Free Library or local library.
One book can inspire a child in ways we can’t even imagine. 📗💡💚
What are some of your favorite ways to share books with your community?
Have ideas on where Macie and the Magic Veggies could make an impact? I’d love to hear them—send me a message! 📚💡✨
(And yes, this is the follow-up to last week’s post about the marketing lesson behind the message on that can of Open Water Macie brought home after her latest trip to the Palm Beach Zoo & Conservation Society 🐅🦒🐘!)
