🌻 CAUTION — HONEY BEES ON THE PREMISES — BEE-WARE
I saw a few buzzing around as we picked sunflowers on Saturday with the family and couldn’t help but think… 🐝
What would Macie ask Grandpa if she saw that sign?🤔
That would definitely send him “back to school” to be ready for one of their adventures…and her countless questions. 😃
And that got me thinking… maybe Grandpa may need his own little “reading corner” — a place to share all the cool things he’s learning from other books to keep up with Macie’s endless curiosity.
So… back to the bees!🐝
We’ve all heard of the worker bee.
But do you know all the jobs that busy bees take on? (Grandpa sure didn’t! 😄)
Thanks to author Linda Smock and illustrator Jennifer Singer for sharing “Just Call Me Honey” with me. It helped Grandpa discover just how incredible honey bees really are — from cleaning the hive, feeding larvae, and building honeycomb to guarding the hive and foraging. Who knew they wore so many hats?
Meet Honey — a sweet and smart little bee who tells her story in this delightful, educational book for curious kids ages 6-11… and curious Grandpas too! 🥰
Macie’s going to love this one — and I think you will too if you enjoy learning alongside the little ones in your life. 📗
👉 And if you know of any children’s books you think “Grandpa” might be interested in, DM me — I’ll be sure to share them with him! 📚 😉
