After sharing the draft with my family, I decided to finalize the title as Macie and the Magic Veggies and adopt a more structured approach to development. Drawing from my video storytelling experience, I crafted a logline and story summary to focus my creativity and collaboration with the design team. 

As you can also see from my notes in red, the journey of Macie was to discover the source and secret of her beloved veggies. For me, the adventure to a farm to see where food comes from was a story that had already been told in countless ways. And since my goal was to share my guiding principles, I added a magic secret so that together they would be the lesson that drives my unique narrative. Both were needed to reinforce the story’s key message, which would be summed up by those three words written on the sign on the farm. 

For those who’ve read the book, I hope those words resonate as deeply with you as they do with me. And for those yet to discover what’s written on the sign… well, you know what to do.
