Book Launch SEEDS Experiment Campaign Update 🚀 📘 🌱
Among other things, I’m an old-school project manager.
Missing deadlines has never really been my thing.
But understanding launch windows absolutely is.
Back in December, I shared that the Farmer Lundyn SEEDS Experiment was planned for January as part of the book launch campaign for Macie and the Magic Rocket Seeds—and to raise awareness of our work at Access to Fresh, addressing food insecurity right here on Earth.
Well, the calendar is about to turn, and before it does, here’s the update:
The experiment isn’t starting in January — and that’s intentional.
Anyone watching space knows this logic well. Even Artemis II recently adjusted its timing due to unforeseen cold weather here in Florida.
I don’t see that as a setback. It’s just good judgment.
Serious missions don’t launch on dates — they launch when conditions are right.
The same applies here.
And here’s some momentum worth sharing:
🌱 We now have a sponsor who has pledged a donation to Access to Fresh connected to this work. 💚
That gives us the opportunity to do this better, not faster. Instead of rushing an experiment to check off a date on the calendar, we’re taking the time to thoughtfully integrate that support—so the story, the learning, and the real-world impact reinforce one another.
Deadlines for deadlines’ sake are easy.
Deadlines that respect readiness, responsibility, and outcomes are harder—and far more meaningful.
And if Grandpa were explaining this to Macie, he’d probably say:
“Remember Little One,
When you take care of what matters,
the right time has a way of finding you.”
More soon.
The window is opening. 🚀🌍🌱
