The Story Ends. The Mission Begins.

The Story Ends. The Mission Begins. šŸš€šŸŒ±

The Macieverse doesn’t end on the last page of Macie and the Magic Rocket Seeds.

One of the things I’m most excited about is what happens after the story.

Inside the book, there is a special page featuring actual pictures from Chip Carter’s trip to NASA to visit the Space Crop Production team — helping connect Macie and her crew’s fictional adventure to real conversations about food, science, and the future of growing.

Yes, ā€œspace farmerā€ is a real thing… and a career pathway I’m excited to start building toward through our Pasco Food Hub work.

But that’s a post for another day. šŸ˜‰

For now, there’s another layer to this book I’ve been waiting to share.

We also created a page in collaboration with Nevin Shah M.S. of Phronesis Consulting Services for the Southwest Space Institute to expand on an important idea:

Exploration is not just about going farther.

It is also about learning how to work together, care for one another, solve problems, and serve the mission.

That collaboration helped inspire special content in the book for grown-ups and young explorers to experience together.

And now, we’ve added a FREE activity sheet to the Macieverse website so families, educators, and classrooms can keep the adventure going.

The activity sheet includes mission-inspired challenges like:

šŸš€ Choosing your next adventure

🌱 Imagining how we grow food in space

šŸ’§ Practicing teamwork and problem-solving

šŸ”§ ā€œWorking the problemā€ like real explorers

🄬 Trying a no-dirt growing activity at home

šŸ’š Creating a kindness mission for a person, your family, or the Earth

⭐ Taking the Explorer’s Oath…

…and more.

Because when kids connect story, science, imagination, and care, something powerful happens.

They don’t just read about exploration.

They start to see themselves as explorers.

Be Bold, Explore. šŸš€šŸŒ±
