One Real Mission Taking Flight

🌱 One Story in Progress. One Real Mission Taking Flight.🚀🌙

While we’re deep in the illustration phase of Macie and the Magic Rocket Seeds, I took a quick pause to grab my boarding pass for a very real journey around the Moon.

NASA is inviting people everywhere to send their name on the Artemis II—and I couldn’t resist.

As a member of the Apollo Generation, it seemed like the ideal chance to reconnect with the magic and inspiration I felt growing up while watching those missions to the moon.

So, today, on one side of my desk: sketches of curious kids, glowing plants, and Farmer Lundyn reminding Macie and her crew to Be Bold, Explore as they learn about growing food in space.

On the other side, I now have my boarding pass to send my name around the moon. It’s a simple reminder that exploration isn’t just something we read about—it’s something everyone can participate in.

For kids, it’s real magic.

For parents and teachers, it’s a teachable moment.

For all of us, it’s a signal of support for curiosity, science, and what comes next.

This is how the Artemis Generation is built—not by standing on the sidelines, but by raising their hands and saying, “Count me in.”

I grabbed my boarding pass. I hope you’ll consider doing the same—maybe with a curious little explorer beside you. 🚀🌱
