From Artemis II to Rocket Seeds: A Different Kind of Launch

🚀 Well, I did my cover reveal a little differently this time.

I first shared the image on Wednesday to celebrate the successful launch of Artemis II—because I certainly couldn’t pass up the chance to cheer on the crew from our Macieverse crew.

So while you may have already seen this image, here it is again with the title… and a bit more context on the thinking behind the design.

As with every book in the Macieverse Magic Collection, the goal was for the cover to begin telling the story before the first page is turned.

You’ll notice a few intentional details:

🚀 The title appears in purple—a blend of those red and blue lights—symbolizing imagination, bravery, and discovery, and reinforcing the story’s message: Be Bold, Explore!

🚀 The rocket’s path begins near the title and lifts toward the stars—connecting the idea of seeds on Earth to exploration beyond it

🚀 The barn glows with red and blue light, hinting at something special inside—where the kids step into an experiment and discover how plants can grow without dirt using water gardens, teamwork, and those same glowing lights

🚀 Mia’s notebook and Cody’s rocket carry forward threads from earlier Macieverse adventures, showing how curiosity grows from one story to the next

🚀 A few small tomato plants in the field—and even seeds tucked into Macie’s pocket—quietly point to what the Rocket Seeds will become

And one more detail that ties it all together…

🚀 Look closely, and you’ll notice a space-inspired font woven into the garden—a small detail that connects the worlds of agriculture and space exploration.

Because at its core, this story is about something simple:

The same curiosity that helps us grow food on Earth may one day help us grow it beyond our planet.

Be Bold, Explore! 🚀 ✨ 📘
